Has any president refused to show tax returns?

PolitiFact found only seven presidential or vice president candidates since 1976 have refused to release any tax returns. Romney is not among them, though he was in 2008. Trump is the first Presidential Candidate since Nixon to refuse to release his tax returns. His claim that he is unable to release his tax returns because he is being audited is not true. The IRS have made it clear that he is able to release returns while under audit. read more
