Has anyone ever kept a vulture as a pet?

I've personally owned many vultures and currently tend to many birds of prey. They as a whole, don't make good pets but if you have a genuine interest in keeping birds of prey then a vulture isn't a bad start but neither the best. read more

I have never known anyone to keep a bat as a pet. It would be cruel to confine an animal that is used to living with hundreds to living alone. Captivity also shortens their live span a by an alarming degree. If you want to keep bats, research building a bat colony and then build them a house. Most are usually occupied within a year or two. read more

Have not personally kept any for longer than an hour, but there used to be a decent number in our 'stream' (which gets down to a trickle at times). I would imagine that if you could provide a nice rocky/silty aquarium so they can burrow and hide like they do, as well as keeping them cool then they will do fine. read more
