Has somebody really flashed an AMD Vega 56 onto a Vega 64?

its actually because the Soc clock on the V56 goes to 960 maximum, any overclock of HBM beyond the SOC clock will autocrash the card. Vega64 SOC .... even higher. I wonder if there is a good reason AMD left the memory speed so low on the Vega 56 or if they just did it to further separate it from the 64. read more

Now naturally, some Vega 56 samples may even be further overclocked than Vega 64's stock clocks, which means that there is the potential for Vega 56 to have even better performance than Vega 64. The BIOS swap should allow Vega 56 to access higher power states than its stock BIOS allows, which is one of the reasons it can unlock higher core and memory clocks than an overclocked, original BIOS Vega 56 would. read more

Vega 64 is out of stock because of miners, and Vega 56 comes out in 2 weeks. Hopefully once the 64s get more stock you will be able to buy them. read more

Flash Vega 64’s bios onto your RX Vega 56 to get a ~10% performance bump on default clocks, an additional 10% possible with overclocking Unlocking AMD dies to their full fledged counterparts has become more or less a tradition – and one that has been fairly successful in the past few generations. read more
