The U.S. National Library of Medicine notes that you should "soak [the] wound in the hottest water [you] can tolerate for 30 to 90 minutes," and of course call paramedics to further assist you. Most of the bees I've handled have usually been in a state of weakness at the time but I still think it's a bit odd I've never been stung, given my fearlessness around bees. I have been told that Australian bees are less aggressive than bees in other places in the world, though. read more
