Of course Abraham Lincoln is considered a hero. He was the most opposed candiadate in the election (even more that Trump) that half the country seceded from the nation, because he was elected. The civil war was the first conflict that African-Americans fought in the US (Union) army. After Lincoln had won the war, he ended slavery. read more
