Honestly (and quite unfortunately), it depends on how “Hispanic” you look, or how much Spaniards perceive you to look like a stereotypical central or south American. Think: the darker the skin and dark hair, the more you fit this stereotype. I spent a few years in Madrid with an American friend of mine. read more
