The term Hispanic is quite rare in Australia. We might say Latin American, but that is more a descriptor of places, music, and language. To me, it’s an unclear term. It can’t be describing someone’s race, because the people in the relevant countries could have Spanish ancestry, native ancestry, or both. read more
