The idea that someone can become an Aboriginal is a question of being accepted and identifying as something else. Someone migrating from another country to Australia becomes an 'Australian' hence they have become something else. If Aboriginal people were the ruling class Australia people would be known as 'Aboriginals' rather than Australians. read more
