Quicksand occurs when fine sediment such as clay, sand, silt, or other grainy soil becomes saturated with water, typically from a subterranean source. Quicksand kills you by eventually trapping you and suffocating you. (at least from my knowledge) To prevent it, I suggest you do not panic and make slow movements and you better have a friend or somebody with you if you’re near a deep pool of quicksand. read more
