I could buy Persia defeating the Macedonians, regardless of Alexander's superior troops and masterful leadership he was facing long odds. But Persia invading Greece in revenge is outside the realms of possibility IMO, especially because it's not even practical to attempt when they merely have to foment dissent and rebellion against Macedonian hegemony to secure their western borders. read more
