I don't think anyone has ever been killed by an eagle -- of an extant species, anyway: Haast's eagle quite probably killed people on occasion, but it sadly went extinct centuries ago. But the golden eagle is a cosmopolitan species that, while usually taking prey like rabbits and hares, is quite capable of killing prey far larger than itself. read more
