In the daytime nurse sharks are mostly sleeping near the bottom of the ocean or sea under rock ledges. Even when they are awake they appear sluggish. I would avoid provoking them. read more

Nurse sharks are nocturnal, so unless you swim in the ocean at night they probably won't hurt you. But, if you bothered one it might snap at you and could kill you if it wanted to which would probably never happen. read more
