How did the Daleks defeat the Time Lords?

So, that's how the Daleks took the Time Lords to the point of defeat. The Time Lords had the weaponry to put up such a fight that "every moment in the universe" burned, but they were still done in by the Daleks' tenacity and sheer force of numbers. read more

in The Chase and The Daleks Masterplan the daleks go after the scooby gang in time machines of their own, and it is explained that, while the daleks have access to time travel, their technology is very crude and nasty, and there are limitations. this is further demonstrated in Day of the Daleks with how the time travel tech works in that story. read more

The Time Lords, and all of Gallifrey, were completely removed from time by the Time Lock; with one exception, every Dalek we've seen came from stragglers that avoided the time lock, not those that existed "before" it went up. read more
