A normal child does something bad, they are punished. The whole, “this is bad because” speech is given, and they take that it is or maybe not. Punishment tends to work however, and you probably access their empathy or guilt. That does not function for us, and, neurotypical parents expect us to respond in a way that makes no sense to us. read more
