Suffice it to say, they're called "Ways" and not "Proofs" intentionally (Aquinas has other concepts he clearly calls "proofs") and function more as a way of connecting his metaphysics (which is probably his more important work anyways) with the ways people come to see philosophical and religious insight. read more
