As a concert pianist, having played many solo piano recitals, I'd just like to shed some insight on how I approach piano practice, because it's often very misunderstood. Most ameteur pianists will practice from an hour or two a week to about an hour a day. More complex and demanding music requires more than that. Concert pianists practice anywhere from 3 to 7 hours a day, only stopping for food or water breaks. read more
