Most small doughnut shops do not survive, even large shops like Krispy Kreme had to pull out of Hong Kong entirely, we don't have Mister Doughnut either. The key to survival is catering events, or providing doughnuts and coffee for such events. If there is no culture of having doughnuts and coffee in your market, you are doomed. read more
Donut shops have excellent margins, because the pastry sells as a standalone product. So making money in the donut business is entirely possible. Creative recipes, marketing and a low overhead business model can drive revenue in this business. read more
Diverse range of products. It may be "Dunkin Donuts" but they sell coffee, fruit drinks, teas, sandwiches, and more, in addition to donuts. Other donut shops do the same to stay in business. read more
