How do inmates feel when they see people touring jail/prison?

When I see people touring prison/jails I feel like I am an animal in a zoo. People walk by and they give you a look of curiosity. Looking at something that they rarely see. Which is true, I guess. Most of those that come through here have never seen actual incarcerated inmates. read more

Granted they do boast they have floor to ceiling windows allowing inmates to see the outdoors. The windows also open up to balconies on some of the floors. There are three courtyards and outdoor communal areas that are enclosed by bars. If you’re going to be in jail, this doesn’t seem like a bad place to be. read more
