Puerto Ricans know that the Chinese have a lot of business savy and are well studied academically when they get a chance to study in the United States. There are a few Chinese owned businesses on the island that have become famous for selling ice cream made from the various fruits that grow on the island. read more
Some Chinese have intermarried with Puerto Ricans and many of today's Chinese-Puerto Ricans have Hispanic surnames and are of mixed Chinese and Puerto Rican descent, e.g., Wu-Trujillo. Various businesses are named Los Chinos (The Chinese) and a valley in Maunabo, Puerto Rico is called Quebrada Los Chinos (The Chinese Stream). read more
Most of Puerto Ricans don't care about race issues. We are a mix from european,africans and indians. So there are Puerto Ricans that might be black and have white kids and vice versa. We are happy about our heritage and we don't treat each other differently for our skin color. read more
