Satellites are relatively fragile, even a rock the size of a penny traveling at high speeds (relative to the satelite) can send it out of commission. But the chance of of a penny-sized-rock traveling, at high speeds and hitting the satellite is very slim, let alone a meteor attack. read more
Meteors don’t actually “attack” since they’re just dumb rocks following Newton’s laws, to get pedantic for a moment. Satellites sometimes don’t survive meteor hits. but space, even the relatively tiny volume our satellites occupy, is very very large, and meteors are fairly rare. read more
Meteors don’t attack people. They aren’t sentient beings. They aren’t even alive. Meteors occasionally hit earth, but they never hit earth on purpose. Nobody directs meteors to attack earth. Most meteors that hit earth are rather small, and there is honestly nothing you can really do about them. If you get hit, that sucks. read more
