Home Depot employees don't receive discounts. Instead, all employees that work an average of 20hrs a week are eligible for benefits (dental/drug). All employees have stock shares and receive quarterly bonuses (assuming your store has reached Plan). Not sure if you're in the US or Canada, but Home Depot offers benefits to part time associates as well as full time, another reason for no discount. Further, if they offered discounts, they'd have contractors coming in and buying tons of stuff and quitting OR have to raise prices to compensate, thus affecting the business anyway. *or so I've heard. read more
