Had they wanted the British would have been able to out down the revolution, they were just unwilling to commit the resources needed to do so. I have been told by Americans studying in my school that the American Revolution is much more unbiased when taught in the UK than the US. read more

As far as European history goes, the French revolution is far more important as it had far more tangible effects for Europeans. In fact, the American revolution could be looked in the context of British/French colonial rivalries. read more

Whilst the Revolution is a massive thing in America, Britain has a much longer history and the American Revolution isn't that big a deal when compared to all the wars, invasions and other things that go on over 2000+ years. read more
