First thing: firing a rifle like an M16 has less to do with dominant hand and more to do with dominant eye. I am left handed but I fire with my right because my right eye is dominant. If someone does fire with the left, most things stay the same except for two. read more
To me the left-handed AR is a solution in search of a problem. Yes, they work; but I don't like the idea of owning a weapon that has critical components (namely the bolt carrier group) that use non-standard and generally single-source parts. The only company I know of that makes a complete left-handed AR is Stag Arms. read more
There are no guarantees that if wounded one could shoot only strong hand. I was a M60 gunner early, never fired left, wouldnt want to. That gun is not meant for lefties, and it impossible to quickly apply immediate action, etc., if carrying it left handed. Not hard to shoot right handed, but use a left eye for sight picture. read more
