From what I read, the Siberian cat may be a slightly healthier breed because the breeders didn’t mess with it as much trying to perfect it. Main Coon cat breeders messed up by trying to perfect a “typey” Maine Coon cat. They snuck in a little Persian at some point to improve the coat. read more
