Allow me to clarify. Doing more advanced physics such as quantum mechanics or general relativity would require heavier mathematical machinery say multivariable calculus, tensors, Fourier Transform etc. However being able to use them in the right way is sufficient in terms of solving physics and understanding physics (to some degree I would argue ). read more
