I cringe at seeing that bloody Lars Andersen video, for two reasons: one, he states right at the credits that his bows have a draw weight of 30 and 35 pounds, and further, you can see in the video that his 'fast' techniques don't have him drawing back all the way. Not every medieval archer used a 100+ pound war bow especially outside Western Europe. There were recurves and lighter hunting bows. The flip side to this is that sure you can shoot arrows very quickly but then you have no arrows left. read more
