Rutgers computer science department is rated between 20-30 top programs in the country by most rankings. Any program in top 50 is a very good program. Also, not that these academic rankings are very subjective rankings, and not the 100 meter races with clear winners. read more
The Computer Science (CS) Department was established at Rutgers in 1966. Programs leading to a Bachelor's degree in computer science are offered by the undergraduate colleges at Rutgers. The faculty of the department are members of the School of Arts and Sciences. At Rutgers there are three or four large CS clubs. The general CS club is The Undergraduate Alliance of Computer Scientists or USACS. No matter the club you join, we regularly spend the weekends at hackathons all over the country and I would say the Rutgers hacker culture is one of the best around. read more
