How hard is it to form phospholipids?

Best Answers

I would really like to get this video on a higher quality, is kind of hard to see the molecules with that thin pen you used. ..... need to know these structures by heart, but what we do need to know is that the phospholipids in our cell membrane are actually very, very diverse, and there are several different forms they can take. read more

Not very hard but require a lot of energy and enzymes. (in living systems that is). In humans, phospholipids are synthesized from glucose. Glucose undergoes the first few steps in glycolysis to produce dihydroxyacetone phosphate. Dihydroxyacetone then undergoes reduction and acylation to form lysophosphatidic acid. read more

Because the heads are polar molecules they (form hydrogen) bonds with water molecules found outside the cell and in the cytoplasm and they arrange on the outer layers (the outside of each side) of the cell membrane. read more
