Extended families whith several generations living together are still common in Brazil, except in big urban centers where the nuclear family is the rule. Grandparents usually help with their grandchildren upbringing and are supposed to spoil them. There's an expression in Brazil for people who act like spoiled brats-- raised by grandma. read more
