The chemistry is dealing with matter ,atom, molecule,compound and their structures and interactions,so quantum mechanics is the best tool to describe the behaviors of such microscopic systems.May be some types of the chemical behaviors is different from the physical behaviors but still the quantum mechanics is the same in dealing with both sciences.the quantum intrinsic principles are the same.Jus like quantum mechanics for condensed matter . read more

Quantum chemistry is applying quantum mechanics to chemical problems. Quantum physics gives you the whole story in a more mathematical form. I'd say study some quantum chemistry if you're in bio, and even that is over kill. read more
