Lots of outlets have merchandise made just for the outlets. This is certainly the case with Banana Republic and, of course, Brooks 346. In many cases, the merchandise is inferior to the main store stuff. read more

From what I remember, the prices at the outlets for Ralph Lauren polos weren't that much lower than the retail prices. I think they ended up being the exact same price as the retail stores when those retail stores had their Ralph Lauren merchendaise on sale. read more
