Asheville is a small liberal island in a conservative sea. The sea is the Blue Ridge Bible Belt which pretty much surrounds Asheville which is not a big city. In my opinion, the City of Asheville is liberal, but the Asheville area (Buncombe, Madison, Haywood and Henderson counties) is much more traditional mainstream America. read more
