Not long, and I hope you are not planning on making the experiment. A small bird needs to drink and eat frequently. More than one day without food and water would put its life in danger. read more
Update 3: I'm not sure how long she was not caring for it properly. I've seen her play with the bird and take it out of the cage but I never went to look at the water/food supply, I just assumed since she seemed to be such a bird lover that she was caring for it. It's sooooo sad that this happened. read more
