How long do rubber bands last?

Most all products made with natural rubber or latex are compounded with something else in small or large quantities, to improve the performance of the rubber or to extend the rubber. To improve the performance might be mixing natural rubber and synthetic rubbers to make tires. read more

Rubber bands in a plastic bag in a drawer last a long time, due to less oxygen circulation. Rubber bands sitting on a door knob, eventually become useless and weak just due to the continuous exposure to oxygen in circulating air. read more
