How long does it take to catch grasshoppers by hand?

UPDATE: Catching them in the early morning is much much easier! In the cold they are slow. The grasshoppers are eating the gardens. We are collecting them in bags and then will dry them in the sauna to feed to chickens later in the year. Or does that pencil out as chicken food or for human consumption? read more

It's like "how long does it take to catch a cat by hand". It may take one minute, or it may take ten days. Depends on the cat, depends on how agile you are, depends where the cat is and what it does, and whether it wants to be caught or not. read more
