How long does it take to charge a battery on a motorcycle?

I'm thinkin' overnight should do it. The 65Ah battery in my car, will take 18.5 hours to charge. On my bike battery charger at 6Amps from completely flat, it will take 11.25 hours to charge 9ah battery. If your battery is at 50% and you are using a true trickle charger it could take months to significantly charge your battery. Additionally if your battery is very flat you may need several charge/discharge cycles to recover it. read more

You should be able to charge a motorcycle battery overnight with a 2 amp charger. A bigger charger is not necessarily a good idea - you can damage a battery with too much charge. A trickle charger is great for keeping a charged battery charged, but not enough power to charge a dead battery. read more
