My speculation is solid neon is not malleable at all. First, solid neon is incredibly cold - it freezes at -415 degrees F, -249 degrees C, not quite 25 degrees above absolute zero on the Kelvin scale. read more
Neon as a gas in its natural state - completely malleable. Neon in a glass envelope, not malleable by much at all! Neon gas in a polymer envelope - malleable but it sure won't light for long. read more
Neon is a gas and so isn't what we'd generally call malleable except that we can confine it to tubes - usually glass - which may be shaped in certain ways. read more
Malleability is a property of solid and not gases. Neon is a gas and is not malleable. read more
