You mean how many anime series are there in total,TBH, I don’t know , but around 35413 anime (as of 16 april 2017) ,listed on MAL ( one of the largest database for anime),So the Total number of anime is definitely larger than 35413. read more

All judgement calls(Avatar/MLP have no influence on the accuracy of the MAL's anime count) which might mean there's going to be a margin of error but due to the amount of effort put into this site I'd wager it to be an accurate means of estimating how many unique anime titles have been made. read more
