Except when doing so for publicity purposes I don't think LEGO keeps an exact record of the number of bricks used. The Wikipedia article on LEGOLand UK [1] gives 40 million bricks used in the entire thing. read more

Strictly speaking, Big Ben is the bell - made entirely of bronze. The name is also applied to the clock - made of metal and glass. The tower used to be named simply the Clock Tower, but it is now officially the Elizabeth Tower. read more

Supposedly, LEGOLAND California, when opened in 1999 it used about 20 million bricks to build Miniland, USA. That number's been pretty solid for a while, and was officially published back in 1999 pretty prominantly. read more
