The y-axis on the graph is a count of the articles in Pubmed (www.pubmed.gov) which contain the word "neuron" in their titles or abstracts. You can see that there were around 25,000 such articles published in 2011. read more

You can see that there were around 25,000 such articles published in 2011. Clearly this doesn't capture all the neuroscience articles, in particular the brain imaging or psychophysics ones. I'd say this represents like 50% of all neuroscience articles. read more
