Ice skating injuries that require emergency room treatment are reasonably common, 20,127 in the US in 2014, plus another 17,627 from ice hockey. There were 5,247 unspecified “skating” injuries not counted in those numbers, but likely 80% or so were roller skating since those injuries are much more common. read more
