If you join the military you don’t normally pick and choose where you serve, you might be lucky and land up close to where you came from, or end up in some far away shit hole. My own family served in Scottish regiments in the British army, but ended up abroad for many years in places like Aden, Cyprus, South Korea, Germany, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. read more
