The funds for federal financial aid and the monies used to pay the interest on subsidized student loan are ALL funded by taxpayers, not by UCLA. So while UCLA is disbursing the funds, UCLA is not the source of the funds. UCLA does have scholarship money. These funds come from the school itself, and private donors. read more
