The estimates are that the current percentage would be in the similar range. Muslims have higher birth rate and there have been Afghan refugee influx in Pakistan, so the estimates of Hindu population at 1.6% as answered by Dipendu Shukla seems reasonable. read more
According to the 1998 Pakistan Census, caste Hindus constitute about 1.6 percent of the total population of Pakistan and about 6.6% in the Sindh province. The Pakistan Census separates Schedule Castes from the main body of Hindus who make up a further 0.25% of the national population. read more
