How much is a 1980 Fender Stratocaster worth?

If I was to sell mine, I'd be asking for $2,000. Probably wouldn't get it though. Why so much? Well it's a made in USA guitar, made in Fullerton. Now that they're over 20 years old they've obtained vintage Fender mojo. This adds about $1000 to the price so $1800 is about right for a guitar that sold for $800 a few years ago. I'd suggest searching around for them on the Internet to see what the going price is right now. read more

On any vintage Fender Stratocater, condition dictates the value -completely. If the guitar is absolutely all stock, it is worth more than one with any alterations. On the low end, I have seen a few 1979-81 Stratocasters sell for as little as $600. read more
