I don’t think Maltese and Arabic are intelligible . Maybe some easy sentence, but when Malteses talk about economy , policy, philosophy almost 90% of the lexicon is Romance ( especially Italian ). In Maltese Italian and Sicilian words are close to 50% of all the vocabulary. read more
