When i first got into PC gaming back in 1998, you’d want to to upgrade pretty much all your PC yearly, after 2 years you’d be so far behind you physically wouldn’t be able to play current games full stop. read more

Some games are CPU-intensive, and if you base your decision on only one game you could end up buying the wrong part. I just upgraded to a new R9 from a 5500-series in the middle of last year. Most games run great or at least okay, but some slog because I still have an i7-920, which is over 6 years old now. read more
