President Barack Obama’s oldest daughter Malia will attend Harvard University in 2017, the White House announced in May. The 18-year-old, who recently graduated from high school, will take a “gap year” before attending the university. “Gap years” are more common in Europe, but are often used to travel the world or do humanitarian work. read more
