As far as I know he was a respected neurosurgeon at major teaching hospital. However, this does not make him an expert at anything else. Johns Hopkins is a well respected institution but there are others that would be as strong if not stronger candidates for the best in the U.S. The surgery that made Ben Carson famous was a tragic disaster in the end. read more
