Only certain sub-sects of Orthodox Jews look even remotely like Amish. And those that do look remotely, and highly superficially like Amish do so for completely different reasons. The similarity amounts to both liking tradition, favoring dark colours, and having beards (sometimes). Edit: I have to admit, I don't know very much about the Amish. read more
